Tom Gries (b. 1922, d. 1977) is a director of Mission: Impossible. Gries was an American director who had also directed episodes of Science Fiction Theatre, Richard Diamond, Private Detective, The Court of Last Resort, Tombstone Territory, Checkmate, Route 66, Stoney Burke, Combat!, and Batman. He also directed the movies Will Penny, 100 Rifles, Number One, The Hawaiians, Breakout, Breakheart Pass, and The Greatest.
