The Festival of the Ascension is an Aisonian celebration held every summer in Reno to honour the king's ascendancy to the throne of Myridia. A particularly spectacular festival took place in 1000 AE for the fifth anniversary of King Byron Kagawest's reign. After the Yamatian Invasion, the festival continued, this time to celebrate the ascendancy of Witch-king Zarnagon although the rebelling populace didn't accept their new tyrant with open arms, which led to riots. After the Cataclysm, the festival was adapted by the Grey Cult to celebrate the reign of the Godslayer.
