Matami Hyuga was the wife of Daisuke Hyuga and great grandmother of Shogun Masamori Hyuga in the Hyuga Clan. She perished in a raider attack 20 years prior to the Yamatian Invasion. According to a Yamatian legend Daisuke turned mad after seeing his wife's corpse and sold his soul to the demon Yurius in exchange for bringing his beloved wife back to life. Yurius answered the call, and Daisuke's Palace was covered in darkness. Neither Daisuke, Matami nor any of the servants were ever seen again.
