The Battle of Maridun was a fairly large battle of the Galactic Civil War between the Galactic Empire and the Alliance to Restore the Republic. It occurred when, following the Battle of Yavin, the Alliance sought to establish a rapport with the planet of Maridun. Imperial Intelligence learned of this and sent a force to stop the conference from taking place, beginning a large battle. The outcome was indecisive, with both sides eventually leaving, but commanders on both sides were commended for their respective faction's special forces.
