Edward Garan was a human Insurrectionist. Born on Eridanus II in 2481, Garan joined the Eridanus Rebel Front in 2498, seeing it as his patriotic duty to his colony, and eventually became an infantry officer, participating in the guerrilla war waged by the ERF, and gaining fame for heroic actions during the 2513 rebellion, for which he was made one of Watts' advisers, and promoted to Lieutenant Colonel.
