CCpatch is a patch created by ccexplore. It prevents the game from crashing when the Transparency Glitch is activated, simply causing Chip to die as normal if he steps on a monster on top of a transparent tile, as he does in Tile World. One unintentional effect of CCpatch is that when keys or boots are on top of each other, instead of being inaccessible and requiring another object to remove the lower layer before the upper is accessible, they can both be collected. Where such combinations exist, separate scores are kept for emulations where the glitch is in effect and where it is not.
