Mario Kart IX: Clash of Racers is a game for the Nintendo DSN, Nintendo 3DS, and Nintendo Wii U. It is expected to release some time in November 2014 and is the first game to release on multiple systems. There will be 12 characters in a race, similar to Mario Kart Wii and Mario Kart 8. Hangliding, Underwater Driving, and Zero Gravity will return from previous installments. Bikes also return, and are customizable as much as karts. This game will have 16 cups rather than 8. The 12 default characters have been announced, yet more unlockable characters will be announced later, and this game will include frequent updates and even free DLC.
