Simeon Shamon was once involved with a sky mining operation that involved the extraction of gold from a space cloud. This caused disaster all over the Earth, because once an unknown mist entered the Earth's atmosphere, it was mutated by the oxygen which transformed it into a gas that was later called Shamonite. The Shamonite caused plants and animals to grow and shrink in size.
