Rudolph II of Austria (1271 - 1290) was the co-Duke of Austria from 1282 until 1283 and the co-Duke of Styria from 1282 - 1283 with his brother Duke Albert I. Rudolph II was the third son and eighth legitimate child of King Rudolph I of Habsburg. Rudolph was married to Agnes of Bohemia, the daughter of King Ottokar II. With her he had only one son, John. In 1282 he and his brother Albert were made the co-rulers of Austria and Styria after their father managed to secure the two territories as hereditary in the Habsburg family. However, the following year Rudolph was compelled to waive his rule by the Treaty of Rheinfelden (1 June 1283).
