Starwort was an otter who appeared to be Skipper of the North Eastern Otters. He was described having tattooed paws. His wife was Marigold and Waterlily was his boat. When Martin the Warrior and his companions were drugged by Aggril, he and his crew ferried them part of the way to Noonvale at the request of Boldred. He was also a friend of Gulba. He and his otters traveled with Martin, Rose, Grumm and Pallum to Marshank and joined in the Battle of Marshank.
