Grand Apartments was an apartment block in Little Italy owned by Vito Corleone and used as a safehouse by many of his men, notably Aldo Trapani in 1945. Shortly after his arrival here, Trapani took over Grand News across the street and had the Corleone family guards there keep an eye on the apartment. After he began to branch out into the other districts of New York City, Grand Apartments was kept on hold by Trapani, and it remained a useful safehouse, where he spent the night before the baptism of Michael Rizzi.
