The archer is the second-level unit for the Castle Faction. It can be trained at the archers' tower. The archer is very useful as the basic ranged unit of the Castle, doing decent damage. Sending Heroes out with some archers for damage and pikemen for protection will allow them to capture mines early in the game. It should still be one of the first units to be upgraded - the extra shot will double its potential damage. The Archer can be upgraded to the marksman.
