Jid'yda was a male Bothan who served the New Republic as an admiral during the Galactic Civil War. Presumably an experienced fleet commander, he was mentioned as a possible candidate to command the combined task force during the Black Fleet Crisis. However, the assignment fell to Han Solo after the admiral was killed during the crisis.
