The Mithril Skin prayer gives a temporary 20% boost to a player's Defence stat. It cannot be used with any of the other prayers that provide a defense bonus. It is the best defensive prayer available for Free players. Members' Chivalry and Piety both offer better defensive enhancements. After reaching protection prayers this is often ignored but it can be used in places where more then one combat style is hitting the player.
