An enraged Raphael Hamato savagely beats Michelangelo within an inch of his life as the two brothers unload 17 years of personal baggage and resentment toward each other. Meanwhile, their niece Shadow Jones desperately tries to get Renoir to help her defuse her uncles' crisis, only to find Renoir is still too occupied grappling with his own identity crisis to be of any use. Shadow finally manages to stop the fight by landing a fierce blow to Uncle Raph with a hockey stick, and he reflexively assaults and nearly harms her in retaliation. But Shadow talks Raph out of his rage, and he is immediately horrified at the realization of everything he has just done.
