At one time, the Oops! Faction was a running joke on FORKNI-L@LISTS.PSU.EDU. It is nominally the faction for people who make more than the usual number of mistakes in posting to the mailing list (e.g., sending a message to the list when they meant it to go privately, sending to the wrong list).
