Several clans of Mesopotamians worshiped Gozer. The Mesopotamians are mostly based on the very same people of that name that lived in Mesopotamia, the ancient kingdom in the land which is now modern day Iraq, parts of Syria, and parts of Turkey. It has a rich history which included the Sumerian culture of Sumer (Sumeria).
