Unlike most Octarian machines, the Great Octoweapons require Zapfish to function. Upon defeating a Great Octoweapon, the Zapfish will be freed. In the Great Turf Wars, they were powered with extension cords, which caused the Octarians to lose when the plug was accidentally pulled from the socket. In the Hero Mode, they fixed this flaw by powering them with stolen Zapfish.
