A few crystals were used for the enhancement of SPARTAN-116 in 2496, but the data never reached Earth, or any other Outer and Inner Colony planet. Dr Myers was almost certain that the race that had created the crystals had very great knowledge, and suggested that they may have created armies through use of technology rather than training.
