Erick Fletcher was once an accountant in Lordaeron, eking out a humble existence, until the Scourge came, sweeping through the lands he once called home, Erick was infected along with his family, by a sheer twist of luck, as he was about to morph into a mindless drudge of the Scourge, a Death Knight waltzed into his house, and began to slaughter his kin, driven into a rage, Erick was able to kill the Death Knight, finally laying himself down and accepting his fate. Fickle as the Scourge is, a senior Death Knight was pleased with Erick's accomplishment, and he set him outside of the meatshield of zombies and ghouls. Years later, Erick fell again at the Siege of Sanguine, a massive attack on Light's Hope chapel. He was promptly raised as a Death Knight.
