I am writing this journal entry after extreme duress, and perhaps some of the details have slipped from my mind due to the throbbing pain from my leg. It seems I may really need a cane after this instead of carrying one to be fashionable. I had obtained clues to the whereabouts of Dr. Blume, though it turned out to be just another puzzle in a long series of riddles. After a fight with Prussian forces in which I was badly injured, we recovered an unusual object.
