Gul Danar was a Cardassian military officer who served as the commander of the Galor-class starship Aldara. In 2369, he was assigned to hunt down the Kohn-Ma terrorist Tahna Los. He pursued Los to Deep Space 9, where he demanded that Commander Benjamin Sisko turn Los over to him. Sisko instead decided to grant Los asylum. Sisko then requested that Danar’s help in stopping Los who had stolen the USS Yangtzee Kiang and loaded it with a bilitrium-based explosive in an attempt to close the Bajoran wormhole.
