The Hakarians are a sapient species of tiny insectoids capable of flight. Due to their small size, they are easily confused for non-sapient insects. The Hakarians usually mass in large swarms. They have their own language and are also able to communicate by forming a swarm in the shape of an object or a symbol; the latter way of communication is especially useful to convey information to individuals who do not know the Hakarians' language. The Hakarians live in underground dwellings connected to the surface by tree hollows, and they possess some form of technology to send signals off-world. The Hakarians are quick learners, able to grasp new technological concepts rapidly.
