Rei Kijima (木島・レイ,Kijima Rei; lit. Beautiful Brewster), is the former 3rd seat of the 2nd Division as well as a former Corps Commander of the Onmitsukidō's Detention Unit. She currently lives in Rukongai where she owns and runs the Kijima Snack House, a fairly popular bar in those parts. An old friend of Kenshin Suzuki's from his own time in Rukongai, she seems to be involved with him, and though both of them have iterated on numerous occasions that the nature of their relationship is purely physical, she does seem to harbor strong feelings for him.
