The sarcophagus crystals were crystals that decorated Illyria's Sarcophagus. They appeared to grant whoever held them some powers of Illyria for a short time. Angel was able to use one of the crystal from to remain unaffected by Illyria's time manipulation power. Also, according to Wesley, the crystal represented time intervals and had little power left.
