Tsunetomo's Watch, or simply The Watch, was an otokodate crated by those followers of the ronin hero Tsunetomo after his death at Lion hands. They remained in the area claimed by his late leader to protect the peasants they had befriended, operating in secret and in small groups to avoid the notice of the Lion. Their relationship with those peasants was equal parts protection and (mild) extortion,becoming actives until the Return of the Ki-Rin, who reclaimed the lands. The Watch as an organization came to an end in the 12th century, when they swore fealty to the allegued Spider Clan.
