A Vedek Inquisitor was a title held by certain Bajorans in the Vedek Assembly. They were charged with religious matters and enforcing the law in regards to matters that relate to the Bajoran faith. After Vash's discovery of the Red Orbs of Jalbador, a group of Vedek Inquisitors were dispatched to hold the archeaologist for war crimes. (DS9 - Millennium novel: The Fall of Terok Nor)
