Born on Nar Shaddaa, Jacob was an unwanted child. While the exact reason was never discovered, a somewhat wealthy woman appeared with a bundle in one of the lowest and poorest areas of the planet wide city. Leaving the bundle in a nearby trash pile, she mattered "Good riddens" and left, never to be seen at this part of the planet again. Unknown to this woman, a small ten year old orphan girl named 'Spice' witnessed this act and as soon as the woman was gone, Spice investagated what was inside the bundle. She found a young baby boy, a couple of days old at the most. Being an orphan herself, Spice took pity on the small baby and took him as her own.
