Dorcas Pritchard is the grandmother of Dust Pritchard, and the great-grandmother of Constance, Forbearance, Innocence, Whimsy, and Done Pritchard and their older brothers and sisters. She is a wandsmith – or "a cutter and a crafter" of wands – of great talent, which she seemed to have inherited from her mother. Before the summer of 2009, the Pritchard's great-grandmother crafted a new wand for Innocence, making her the first of the Pritchard siblings to receive a new wand
