Reverse Scuba Gear is a type of life support technology that allows water-breathing Castalians to survive outside of their natural liquid water environment. Without it a water-breather would suffocate on dry land. It is worn around the necks of its users, and uses closed-circuit rebreather technology to infuse the liquid with oxygen, so that the user can breathe.
