For at least 4000 years, before the first Cerberussian settlement, Ightilia was inhabited by indigenous Ightilians. After the Cerberussian discovery of the island, Ightilia's northern part was claimed by The United Kingdom of Great Paangoon and initially settled through transmigration to the colony of New Starq. The population grew steadily in subsequent decades; the island was explored and an additional four self-governing Crown Colonies were established.
