Tijd, or De tijd as it states the Eurovision official web site, was the Dutch entry at the Eurovision Song Contest 1971 in Dublin performed by the duo Saskia & Serge. The song is a ballad, with the duo singing about the significance of time. Concepts such as the fact that wishing for time to go faster results in it going slower are dealt with, as well as the all-important factor of time in a relationship. The song was performed fourteenth on the night, following Ireland and preceding Portugal. At the close of voting, it finished in sixth place with 85 points.
