The Red phone is a communications device located in the General's Office at Stargate Command. It is primarily a hotline direct to the President's office at the White House; however, it has been shown to call other numbers as well. During Major General George S. Hammond's tenure as commanding officer, the phone was actively used by him. Speed dial one was set to dial his grandchildren, whereas two dialed the President.
