Hips Don't Lie was filmed in Los Angeles, California, and features Shakira and Wyclef Jean enjoying themselves as they dance in an arena-like environment. The majority of the costumes and outfits featured in the video belong to the Carnaval de Barranquilla, some of which include the white dress Shakira dances in, and the colorful flags. The video won the MTV Video Music Award for Best Choreography and the MTV Latin Award for Song Of The Year. The video also placed # 2 on VH1's "Top 40 Videos of 2006".
