Chavi'rru was a Betelgeusian Starfleet crewmember serving on the USS Enterprise in security. In 2273, he and Hrrii'ush Uuvu'it argued about which was stronger, human or Saurian nudity taboos, and Chavi'rru dared him to test it. Later, Lieutenant Pavel Chekov considered assigning Chavi'rru to the security team protecting the peace conference on Yonada, but decided against it. (TOS novel: Ex Machina)
