The Shouenbu (literally Rising Waltz) is one of Reiji Oyama's special attacks which has been featured in each of his appearances and is one of several attacks in the series that is executed solely in midair. Reiji pauses, then unleashes a flaming dive kick from the air towards his enemy. The angle at which the attack comes down is dependent on the strength button used. In the first Power Instinct, the attack only struck once, but from Power Instinct 2 onwards, Reiji added a second kick to the attack that would occur upon connection, making it a more effective technique.
