The Director of the GMCOI Intelligence Enterprise is a career senior executive or flag officer nominated by the Secretaries of Defense and Homeland Security, in consultation with the Maritime Security Policy Coordinating Committee (MSPCC), and appointed by the Director of National Intelligence. The Director is a member of the MSPCC.
