The Dakar Rally (or simply "The Dakar"; formerly known as the "Paris–Dakar Rally") is an annual rally raid organised by the Amaury Sport Organisation. Due to being a rally raid, WRC drivers and co-drivers have competed in the event, mostly in the cars category. Yazeed Al-Rajhi made his debut in 2015, whilst Juha Kankkunen, Carlos Sainz and Ari Vatanen have all had the honours of being both World Rally Champion and Dakar Rally winner. Nasser Al-Attiyah won his second Dakar Rally in 2015.
