The Current Name of this town is Annodrûn, but of old it was Annon Drúin, meaning "Cate of the Wild Men" for half a league of the eastern gate there stand two old ancient watch-stones of the Drúedain (That which nour allies the Rohirrim call "Púkelmen" ), now badly weathered and covered with stonecop, but still recognizeable as the handiwork of thee Wild Men. Like the watch-stones themselves the Name of the Towm has been worn down through the centuries until now all of it's inhabitants pronounce it als "Annodrûn", though the old form sometimes persists in writing -Findegil
