Teodor Hájek is the ex-husband of murder victim Eliška Sokol, and the natural father of Zane Talbot. He is a generally soft-spoken man with an air of great sadness, having lost both his wife and the boy he believed to be his son in the last few years. When he first meets Beckett and Castle, he presumes the INS has finally caught up with him - due to his illegal immigrant status - and foregoes a lawyer, thinking he will be deported anyway.
