The Transfers Yards are where the North Western Railway and Skarloey Railway transfer goods. Thomas brought Freddie to the yards when the latter returned to the railway. Duncan also brought Thomas logs here in The Great Discovery. The Transfer Yards were first introduced in the ninth season of the television series and appeared each season afterwards until the thirteenth when the show switched to CGI animation. It was also mentioned in the thirteenth season episode, Steamy Sodor.
