The Sceptre of Iron is from an ancient kingdom of north-east Khul, and indeed it still has an aura of regal authority despite only being made of iron. It is inscribed with runes which translate as "There should be just one ruler", which perhaps hark back to a day when this area of Khul was ruled as one large kingdom, as opposed to a number of different lands, as it is today.
