Virgin Compo was a competition in Issue 41. Boomers were tasked with solving a "spot the difference" puzzle and identifying a particular Badnik, that turned out to be a Chopper. Winners of the competition were announced in the Control Zone of Issue 48. Three selected winners were awarded with a Sega Mega Drive and two Virgin Interactive games. 24 runners-up each received just one game, although the message states that these people each receive a "selected Virgin".
