This is a phenomenon similar to The Other Darrin, but clearly distinct. It occurs when a part is recast after scenes have already been filmed with someone else in the role and, as a result, every scene the original actor did gets reshot. In some cases, quick shots of the original actor may find their way into the final cut, though you'd probably only notice this if you paused on those shots.
