Cologne lets Shampoo choose a piece of antique jewelry from her collection. Shampoo chooses a brooch from a box. The brooch can control the wearer's emotion depending on how it is placed. If it is right side up, it amplifies the love one has even more, whereas if it is upside down then any love the person has for one turns to hate. She puts it on upside down without knowing the effects and begins hating Ranma, running him over with her bike and ignoring him every other time. Ranma then boldly claims that he will make her love him again . Ranma attempts various tactics he read from a magazine, but nothing seems to work.
