Warriors on the battlefield to serve as the champions of the Charon Dominion, Templars were uniquely trained toward utilizing their Void abilities in combat and warfare, as opposed to the purpose of unlocking the arcane knowledge of the Void. Templars were the most commonly seen Savants during the Extant War, and were the almost exclusively-seen Savants within active warzones. As a consequence, the term "Savant", when utilized by the denizens of the realspace galaxy, referred to Savant Templars.
