After trying out his new time machine, Professor Frank N. Stein believed he had killed Doctor Leek when the mad scientist landed on him. Stein attempted to replace Leek as the poople doctor, prescribing patient Gareth with Bicarbonate of Soda. When the Welsh couple derided Frank's treatment, the real Doctor Leek returned, proving that he wasn't dead. Leek provided a much more contemporary solution to the poopleism, suggesting to Gareth that he should eat a leech after every meal and sit on a fish for three days.
