The knife is a quest item from the Recruitment Drive quest. It is picked up from a bookcase in the Miss Cheevers challenge room. The knife can be used on the tin with a plaster cast of the key to retrieve the bronze key that is used to complete the challenge. Along with the knife, the chisel and bronze wire serve the same purpose. It appears identical to a normal knife, but cannot be taken out of the room.
