In the fetid depths of Graywater lies a deep and dark secret: the gnarled gray tree. The tree, you see, is home to the beast of the bogs: the wretched Hasdrabal the Consumer, eater of souls. Once of elf of Tearwood, through the many vile acts he committed in his long lifespan, the elf grew larger and viler, turning into a great morbid pile of flesh and fat. Driven away, he became darker still within the murky swamps and began to encroach on the halfling lands of Pinedale.
