It consisted of a winch and a rope tied around Ed, who had been given swim goggles and a snorkel and been wrapped in plastic wrap to protect him from germs. The pulley was operated by Edd and Eddy, who helped pull Ed into position, lower him, and pull him out. The pulley was very successful, as it was able to do all that was required of it for the scam.
